Rotary Club takes tree planting to Immaculate Heart School, Maryland

In continuation of the Rotary Club gesture towards safeguarding the environment, Rotary Club of Onigbongbo embarked on Tree planting at the Immaculate School Maryland on Thursday 21st, July

The exercise, which was in line with the 7th area of focus of Rotary, was aimed at beautifying the environment as well as making the environment safe.

Speaking during the official planting of the trees, the president of the Club, Rtn. Salau Razaq, said that the exercise “is aimed at stemming the crisis of climate change”.

The president further explained that the gesture was in line with the Rotary International mandate to support the environment.

The Principal, Mrs. Ogunbiyi, commended Rotary Club of Onigbongbo for considering
the school for the exercise, adding that the exercise will help in making the the school more beautiful.

“We are happy and grateful to the Rotary Club of Onigbongbo for finding it fit to improve on our environment by embarking on tree planting and beatification of our environment, she said
