Rivers APC office bombed

The political crisis in Rivers State deepened on Sunday morning with the bombing of the office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abam-Ama, Okrika Local Government Area of the South-South state.
Explosives suspected to be dynamites were used by the attackers. The building was destroyed and the chairman’s office was extensively damaged.
The council chairman of the party, Mr Christian Asifamaka, confirmed the attack.
“The explosion, which occurred about 3:14 a.m., destroyed our secretariat building, bringing down the walls.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ahmad Muhammad, said the command was investigating the attack.
He said that no arrest had been made.
