Revealed: Cause of death of NUJ Chairman’s wife

The wife of the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna State Council, Alhaji Abdulgafar Alabelewe, is dead.

Mrs Hajara Alabelewe died in the early hours of Sunday about 1 a.m. in a hospital in Kaduna following a brief illness.

Confirming the incident, the NUJ chairman said his wife died as a result of malaria.

Until her death, she was a staff member of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Kaduna.

According to the family, Janaza (funeral) prayers will take place by 2 p.m. on Sunday at Ansarul Islam Juma’at Mosque, Abakpa, by Lugard Roundabout, Kaduna.

May her soul rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
