Members of Victory Cathedral Fellowship Centre, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, were told on Thursday to immediately collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) if they want to partake in holy communion.
The General Overseer of the church, Rev. Uma Ukpai, told them there will be no holy communion for any member who does not show his or her PVC “because it is unpatriotic for Nigerians to refuse to participate in electoral processes”.
“The 2015 general election is too important for a Nigerian of voting age not to participate in electing political leaders of the country for the next four years. If you are a true member of this fellowship and you have not collected your PVC, know that you will not partake in our communion service until you get yours. We must take this election serious because we must rise up and protect our future.”
