The House of Representatives on Tuesday in Abuja adopted a resolution to vote electronically on the remaining 16 bills on the amendment of the 1999 constitution.
The bills, to be considered on Thursday, include the one that will provide immunity for National Assembly members on words spoken on the floor.
Also to be considered is the bill which removes ambiguity in the impeachment of the President.
Speaker Aminu Tambuwal enjoined members to endeavour to attend the session.
“We are going to vote on Thursday, you should endeavour to be here,” he said.
Presenting the report, the Deputy Speaker, Mr Emeka Ihedioha, told the House that a total of 16 bills were referred to the Ad hoc Committee for further legislative inputs.
According to him, the committee has treated most of the bills which formed part of the report submitted to the House in July, 2013.
He said that a few bills were omitted during that exercise while some were stood down because they did not undergo public hearing.
“The leadership of the House and the committee thought it wise to conclude work on those bills before setting up a conference committee to liaise with the Senate for harmonisation purpose,”he said.
