The lawmaker representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency of Ondo State, Donald Ojogo, was on Saturday involved in an auto crash along Ore–Ondo Road.

Dr Samuel Ibitoye, Ondo State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident.
Ibitoye, who said the crash involved three vehicles and 19 people, explained that preliminary investigation revealed that the incident happened by wrongful overtaking and overspeeding.
“19 people were involved in total, made up of 15 males and 4 females. Out of the 19 people, two female commuters were injured.
“The injured victims were subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital, where they received medical attention.
“Meanwhile, the lawmaker with the remaining 16 others were not injured. Two buses and a Toyota land Cruiser Prado were involved,” he said.
The sector commander, therefore, called on motorists to have patience while driving and engage in defensive driving techniques to avoid unnecessary crashes.
“Speeding could be thrilling, but it also kills as well, people should avoid speeding while they are driving and also shun wrongful overtaking,” Ibitoye said.
The accident occurred while the lawmaker was travelling to Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state for a political engagement.
