Zubairu represents Bungudu and Maru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Speaking at the cash disbursement exercise to the beneficiaries in Bungudu on Sunday, Zubairu said the gesture was part of his intervention to support education in the constituency.

Zubairu, represented by his Special Assistant, Jamilu Umar, said the beneficiaries included 41 students from Sokoto State University, 35 students from Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero and 53 students from the Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sakina Haruna, a 400-level student described the gesture as a welcome development.

“On behalf of the entire beneficiaries, we extend our gratitude to the lawmaker for his kind gesture.

“This will reduce the economic hardship being faced by us, especially in paying school fees and other students’ expenses,” Haruna added.
