Telecoms firm, Globacom, has felicitated with Christians as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Globacom urged believers to remember the true significance of Christmas which is Love, Peace and Salvation, asking them to eschew every practice that is not in conformity with the teachings of Christ during their celebrations this season.
“As we celebrate this great feast of the birth of Jesus, let us not just be concerned about  shopping, eating, drinking and merrymaking. Let us also remember to share all good things with our neighbours,” the company said in a Christmas goodwill message released on Friday.
Globacom reminded Christians of  the injunction of the Holy Book in the first Epistle of John 3:17 which says  “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?”
The telecommunications giant also advised them to imbibe the values of love, humility, kindness, righteous living and fruits of the spirit which would guarantee eternal life as promised by Jesus Christ calling on all to allow the birth of the Prince of Peace to engender tranquility in the society through good neighbourliness and selflessness.
“Christmas is the celebration of advent of Jesus Christ which symbolized the spectacular glory of God’s love.  It is a celebration of hope, humility, faith and love.  As we celebrate Christmas, let us prepare for His second coming by being rapturable in our acts and looking out for our neighbours”, the company  stated.
Globacom assured Nigerians of stress-free voice, data and Short Messaging Service (SMS) during and after the Christmas and New Year holidays.
