Raja Casablanca hammer AS Vita to place one hand on CAF Confederation Cup

A brace from striker Soufiane Rahimi ensured Moroccan side Raja Casablanca took control of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup final with a 3-0 win against AS Vita Club of Congo DR.
The victory was in the first leg match at the Stade Mohammed V on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Rahimi took his tally in the competition to four with a brace to settle home nerves.
Top scorer Mahmoud Benhalib then converted a penalty kick after 66 minutes, his 12th goal of the campaign.
Vita Club were reduced to 10 men when defender Yannick Bangala’s foul to concede the penalty kick earned him a second yellow card.
Raja comfortably saw out the rest of the game and will be hopeful the second leg fixture in Kinshasa next Sunday will be fruitful.
They are seeking to win a first continental title since they lifted the defunct CAF Cup in 2003.
AS Vita on their part are hoping for a hat-trick of titles for Congo DR sides, after TP Mazembe won in the previous two years.
