Three-quarters of Russians trusted President Vladimir Putin and 76 per cent assess his professional performance positively, a poll conducted by Russia’s Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) showed on Friday.
Asking about their assessment of Putin’s professional performance, 76 per cent of respondents said he was doing rather well, 13 per cent said he was doing rather badly, and 11 per cent refrained from answering.
In addition, 75 per cent of respondents said that they trusted the president, 16 per cent said that they did not trust him, and nine per cent refrained from answering.
The survey was conducted through interviews with 1,500 adult Russians in 104 urban and rural areas across 53 Russian regions.
The statistical error did not exceed 3.6 per cent.
FOM is an independent public sociological research organisation established in 1991.
