Russian President, Vladimir Putin, held a phone conversation with Deputy Supreme Commander of United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The conversation centered on the progress of the OPEC+ agreements, the Kremlin said on Tuesday.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“They discussed the implementation of agreements in the OPEC + format,’’ a Kremlin statement read.
The parties also expressed a mutual desire for further comprehensive development of bilateral relations of strategic partnership.
“Current issues of Russian-Emirati collaboration were discussed.
“High appreciation was given to the level of interaction achieved in political, trade and economic and other domains.
“Both sides expressed their intention to further comprehensive development of bilateral relations of strategic partnership,’’ the statement said.
The parties agreed to pursue contacts at various levels and underscored their willingness to collaborate for ensuring stability on the world energy market.
“The intention to continue coordination of the two countries in the interests of maintaining stability in the global energy market was underlined,’’ the statement said.
Putin has also detailed to the Crown Prince the reasons and objectives of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
“The situation around Ukraine was also reviewed.
“Vladimir Putin outlined in detail the reasons, goals and objectives of the Russian special military operation for the protection of Donbas.
“In turn, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted Russia’s right to ensure its national security,’’ the statement said.
