A cleric, A/Professor Tayo Popoola, has lauded the initiative of the Federal Government to cancel tuition in all the Federal Government Technical colleges across the country.

Ministering at the headquarters of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, Ogun State on Sunday on the occasion of 2025 Children Anniversary of the church, Popoola described the decision as laudable and commendable.

The cleric similarly applauded the introduction of Nigerian Education Loans Fund (NELFUND), adding that thousands of children of the downtrodden masses of Nigeria across the country are currently enjoying the scheme.

He urged the Government to similarly address the issue of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), stressing that the country cannot afford another nationwide strike.

Quoting from the book of 2 Timothy 2: 15 which states that “study to show thyself approved unto God”, Popoola urged parents to cooperate with Government to bring out the best from the children.

His words: “Nobody has excuse not to send the children to school now. With Technical education free and NELFUND providing support to students in institutions of higher learning, every qualified children must be encouraged to go to school.

He urged parents to bring up their children in the way of the Lord as espoused in the book of Proverbs 22:6.

He reminded parents of their topmost educational role of training their children in the way of the Lord as contained in the book of Isaiah 54:13 and Genesis 18:19.

Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the service.
