The General Overseer of Christ Ark Bible Church, Ikotun, Lagos State, Prophet (Dr.) Joshua Adele, has listed major obstacles to prayers.

Ministering in the capacity of Guest Minister at the 7th anniversary thanksgiving service of Omu -Ajibode branch of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries in Ogun State on Sunday, Prophet Adele stated that wrong motives, unconfessed sins, pride, doubt, family conflict and impatience are top factors hindering answers to prayers.

He stated further that God will always answer prayers according to His own will adding that nobody can force God to answer a particular prayer.

Prophet Adele further identified the role of faith in answered prayer and therefore urged Christians to have faith in the Lord during prayers.

The head Pastor of the church, Dr. Tayo Popoola, observed that what led Prophet Elijah to marathon prayer of seven sessions was a national issue occasioned by drought of almost three years. He, therefore, prayed in his capacity as National Prophet for peace and stability of the nation.

Dr. Popoola further prayed for the stability of Christian homes while also praying for economic prosperity and well – being of the nation. The cleric said as God sent down rainfall which relieved the nation of Israel, in the same way, Popoola prayed God to send down total and comprehensive relief to Nigeria .

In his goodwill message at the occasion, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Gbenga Omotoso, congratulated the church on her milestones in the last seven years of the branch and further prayed more successes in the years ahead.

He commended all the church leaders, especially, the ministers, the elders, and Heads of Departments for working as a team in the promotion of the work of God.

The BOT chairman of the church, Chief Dr. Kenny Martins represented by Chief Jonny Ucheaga, also thanked God for the successes recorded by the branch in the last seven years.

Chief Martins who was unavoidably absent praised the church leadership and urged them to continue their labour in the Lord’s vineyard in one spirit, understanding and love.

Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the ceremony including Pastor Joshua Arogundade, General Overseer of God Reigneth International Ministry, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
