Mr Jacob Kudu, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA), has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Kudu, who represents Nassarawa Eggon East Constituency, confirmed the development on Thursday in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area.

Kudu lost the APC ticket in the recently concluded primaries to Mr Solomon Jatau, where he cited irregularies in the conduct of the exercise.

The lawmaker said he had forwarded his resignation letter to the APC Chairman of Ubbe Electoral Ward.

According to him, the decision followed careful reflection on recent developments within the party.

“This decision to resign from the APC was not taken lightly.

“After careful consideration and reflection on recent developments within the party, I have decided to withdraw my membership of the APC,” he said.

Kudu expressed appreciation to the party for providing him the platform to serve the people.

He also thanked his supporters, associates and constituents for their encouragement and cooperation during his time in the party.

“I remain grateful to my supporters, associates and the good people of Ubbe Ward and Nassarawa Eggon East Constituency for their encouragement and cooperation throughout my time in the party,” he said.

The lawmaker assured his constituents of his continued commitment to contributing to the development of the constituency despite his resignation from the party.
