labaran_makuPresident Goodluck Jonathan is to present a mid-term report of his administration to Nigerians on May 29, Information Minister Labaran Maku has said.

Maku, who briefed State House correspondents on the outcome of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, said the report would contain all the achievements of the administration in the last two years.

“President Goodluck Jonathan will be submitting a major report on the performance of this government in the last two year.

“The President is going to address the nation, is going to give a blow-by-blow account of the achievements of this administration in the last two years in all the key sectors.

“It will be a major report and it will really be an opportunity for Nigerians to really pay attention and participate in the programme of the President’s report back to his people on what this government has been able to do in the last two years. ”

According to him, the report will also highlight ongoing developmental efforts aimed at uplifting the quality of life of all citizens.

He said the President’s report would be followed by the second phase of Ministerial platform, where Ministers would be expected to give details of the achievements of their respective ministries.

”Shortly after that, on the 3rd of June, Ministers will then be taking turns to give detailed sector achievements in the next phase of the ministerial platform, which we have scheduled to take off on June 3.

”The ministerial platform, which will last for much of June, will be the second phase. ”

He said that the ministerial platform would be televised and aired live on the nation’s electronic media.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to tune in and keep a date with history.

Maku said the event would also include question and answer session, where the Ministers would provide answers to likely questions relating to their performances in the last two years.

The minister noted with delight that the nation was moving in the right direction of change and transformation.
