The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has urged Christians and other Nigerians to use the Christmas period to pray for the success of 2023 general elections.

This is contained in a statement by the Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr Jibrin Gwamna and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Saturday.

Abdullahi described the day as unique and special among Christians, hence the need for it to be used for sober reflection.

The speaker urged Christians to use the period to extend hands of friendship to the less-privileged in the society.

“This is to give them sense of belonging and improve on their standard of living,” he said.

Abdullahi, while identifying with Christians, wished them happy celebration

He called on Nigerians to always pray and support their leaders.

The Speaker also urged Christians and other Nigerians to remain committed to the constituted authorities for the peace and progress of the country.
