A Cleric, Dr.Tayo Popoola, has identified various hindrances to the realisation of prophetic favour.
Speaking at the headquarters of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, on Sunday on the occasion of 2022 Women Anniversary of the church titled :Hinderances to Prophetic Favour, Dr.Popoola who is the head Pastor of the church identified unbelief as a major factor.
Quoting from the book of Luke 1:12 -23, Popoola disclosed that when the Angel of the Lord appeared to Zechariah with the good news that God has answered his prayer concerning his wife’s conception, the cleric lamented that Zechariah went into a marathon struggle and argument with Angel Gabriel to the point that he nearly got the Angel provoked .
Popoola said he was quite sure that Zechariah must have, times without number, ministered to people on the theme “with God, all things are possible ” and that if any of his Congregational members had behaved the way he behaved, only God knows what Zechariah would have done.
The cleric, quoting from the book of Matthew 13:58 further reminded the congregation that due to the type of unbelief exhibited by Zechariah, many people in Nazareth, the home town of Jesus Christ were robbed of their blessings .
He, therefore, urged the congregation to emulate the attitude of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, who excitedly claimed her favoured prophecy when she had encounter with the same Angel Gabriel saying ” may it be unto me according to thy word”( Lk 1:38).
Popoola seized the opportunity of the anniversary to pray for favour of God upon Nigeria at this critical moment of national insecurity.
He prayed fervently that God should give Government wisdom and strength in handling the serious security challenges facing the nation.
