A prominent National Cleric, Dr. Tayo Popoola, Spiritual Head, Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries and Mount of Divine Intervention and Renewal of Strength in Ekiti State has called for special prayers over Lagos.
In a statement on Friday, the cleric said the Lord revealed through a scary vision in which the Lagos Lagoon was roaring like the Atlantic Ocean.
He said the vision portends serious catastrophe with wide – ranging proportions and therefore suggested that the prayer should hold immediately with fasting, adding that those who love Lagos as well as stakeholders in Lagos should observe the prayer whose theme should be ” Mercy of God over Lagos” while the guiding text should be Isaiah 54:10.
The cleric, who operates with prophetic anointing, further said the Lord seriously warns that no attempt must be made by anybody to exploit the revelation for any financial gain, adding that “any attempt by anybody to exploit the vision for financial gain shall curry the wrath of God “.
The cleric said the warning became necessary because the Lord in the vision further revealed a group of people who were suggesting occultic approach to avert the lurking doom.
Popoola said “people should know that God will not share His glory with any man or woman” and that only mercy of God through prayers can abort the danger.
He enjoined Muslims to observe the prayer in their Jumat today while Christians should also do the same on Sunday.
Popoola said the prayer must be intensive, rigorous and fervent to shame the devil and his agents.
The man of God said “much as I know about God, His mercy shall not depart from Lagos”.
