Policeman in NDDC MD’s entourage dies in accident

The management of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has confirmed the death of  a policeman in the entourage of its  Managing Director,  Mr Nsima U. Ekere, on Calabar-Itu Road on Thursday.
In a statement, Mr Ibitoye Abosede, the Director of Corporate Affairs of NDDC, said Ekere’s motorcade was involved in an accident with a trailer on the road.
Abosede said the  pilot vehicle carrying policemen attached to the managing director, on his way to Calabar to receive the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, ran into the trailer.
“The victims were immediately taken to a nearby hospital where they are receiving urgent medical attention for injuries.
“Members of the entourage in other vehicles were unhurt in the unfortunate incident,” he said.
