The Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Youth Vanguard, Oyo Federal Constituency, has described the Director of Publicity, Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic
Party, Olisa Metuh, as “men of gullible-minds, lower elementals and human types who are in dire need of intensive trainings on emotional intelligence’’.
This, it said, would go a long way in checking all characteristics of bestiality or animalistic proclivities among PDP hatchet men “whose stock-in-trade are indecorous and inverted snobbery”.
Addressing reporters on Thursday in Oyo town, shortly after a rally, its chairman, Mr. Lukman Raheem Ganiyu, stated that by contemplating on the object of the senses, one develops attachment, adding that “from lust anger arises, from anger delusion crops up, from delusion bewilderment of memory, and when the memory is bewildered, intelligence is lost,
which makes one bound to act even against his/her better judgement.
“It is either that these PDP men did not incorporate anti-material culture in their political behaviour, or they fail to cultivate transcendental knowledge that is now responsible for their all forms of irrational, illogical reasoning coupled with despicable acts and anti-democratic norms which culminated and continue their emotions of lust and anger like wandering beasts in the forests.”
While advising the PDP to borrow a leaf from APC and its stalwarts who had imbibed ability to express and control their emotions and as well understand, interprete and respond to the emotions of others, Ganiyu asserted that this helps in promoting thinking and cognitive activity, the ability to identify, use, understand, and manage emotions in
positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.’’
On the rejection of card readers by the PDP and threats by satellite parties to boycott elections, Ganiyu described it as “ulterior in motive, stanching and inadmissible’’.
Said he: “Were the PDP and its unruly allies in deep slumber when INEC presented its budget, which include the card readers and PVCs to the Senate and was subsequently approved? Why weren’t uproars and rejections then? What is PDP up to? Why lord its wish on the entire country? Has the Senate not given the INEC the go-ahead to use card
readers? Any attempt to derail the rescheduled elections will amount to civil disobedience’’.
On Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, he warned that the former Lagos State Governor remains an “indefatigable defender of justice, fairness and egalitarianism and unrepentant pathfinder whose antecedents and unimaginable precedents continue to intimidate his opponents’’.
