President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, is expected to be in Vancouver, Canada between July 3 and July 5 to attend the 6th FIFA Women’s Football Symposium.
An NFF statement on the federation’s website said Pinnick would have the opportunity to watch the final match of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, scheduled for the BC Place, Vancouver on July 5.
It said that topics for discussion at the symposium would include, “Women in Football,” “Powerplay: Giving African women and girls a voice through the sport of football,” and “The Business Side of the Game’’.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons, the African champions crashed out of the tournament at group stage following a 3-3 draw with Sweden, 0-2 loss to Australia and 0-1 defeat by U.S.
The National team, however, remained the strongest in African side, having won seven of the nine African Women Championship titles.
Pinnick was in Canada for the Falcons’ opening match at which they played the 3-3 draw against Sweden in Winnipeg on June 8.
