PDP will win 30 states, says Senator Adeyemi

Senator Smart Adeyemi (Kogi West Senatorial District) has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win, at least, 30 states in the March 28 and April 11 general elections.
He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) should stop deceiving Nigerians because majority of its candidates will be defeated during the polls. “This is due to the fact that APC thrives on propaganda which cannot bring victory. I can assure you that PDP will win at all levels in this election. I am not in doubt PDP will win, at least, 30 states and everybody will be amazed at the end of the election.
“The fact that a party is moving supporters from one state to another does not translate to winning election. When the chips are down, you will understand what I am talking about‎,” he said in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
Adeyemi is contesting the March 28 senatorial election.
To him, PDP is the only consistent party since 1999 because it has not changed its name. “The PDP is the only well articulated party and for Kogi West, I know there is no opposition from other parties. As far as we are concerned, PDP is our party and we will continue to work for our party. You can see, it was around 2 am I sent message to our people and you can see the turn out. It shows that the people still have confidence in the PDP. I will still come back here to have interaction with some of our members. Is there any opposition in Kogi State? I have not seen any opposition.”
