PDP Chairman abducted, N.2bn ransom demanded

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Philip Aivoji, has been kidnapped.
A source said he was abducted on Thursday around Ogere, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway while returning from PDP South-West Zonal meeting in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
A source disclosed that the kidnappers had already contacted some family and party members, demanding for N200 million ransom.
It is not clear if he is the only one abducted but the source said another person, who escaped from the scene, is already receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
It was learned that security agents are already on the trail of the abductors.
