The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is solidly behind former Senate President, Senator David Mark, to repeat his electoral victory in the re-run election ordered by the Court of Appeal.
A statement by Chief Olisa Metuh, PDP National Publicity Secretary on Monday in Abuja, described Mark as `an asset to the nation.’
He said that the party and the people of Benue-South Senatorial zone were solidly behind Mark in the forthcoming exercise.
He said that the people of the zone who are ‘’ardent members and supporters of the party since 1999,’’ would remain steadfast in giving Mark another resounding victory at the re-run election.

Metuh also lauded the `significant contributions’ of Sen. Mark in growing and stabilising the nation’s democracy through his ‘’mature, responsible and patriotic leadership of the Senate.’’

“He is a value that is still highly needed in the polity,’’ he said.

He urged PDP members in Benue-South to resist any attempt to intimidate them in their determination to ensure effective and result-oriented representation in the Senate as typified in Mark.
