A cleric, A/Professor Tayo Popoola, has identified how to raise great and peaceful children for Nigeria.
Ministering at the headquarters of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries,Mowe, Ogun State on Sunday on the occasion of 2024 children anniversary of the church, Popoola said training of the children in the way of the Lord is the greatest avenue.
Speaking on the theme of the anniversary ” Great shall be the peace of thy children”- Isa 54:13, the cleric said God anchored that prophecy on His words which says “And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord ” adding that the children must be taught in the way of the Lord.
Popoola lamented that from the first family of Adam and Eve, parents have been failing in their responsibilities of providing sound training for their children.
The cleric attributed the growing insecurity in the country along with other crimes to failure of the family.
He argued that the poor economic situation in the country similarly threatened the peace of the children.
Said he : “The poor economy has increased the problem of out – of – school children at all levels of education in the country.
” There are instances of students committing suicide as a result of economic hardships “.
The cleric urged Government at all levels in the country to ameliorate the problems facing the nation.
The man of God prayed for divine guidance for the country’s leaders at all levels of governance in Nigeria.
As the nation is preparing for this year’s children day, prayers were similarly offered for Nigerian children.
The occasion witnessed investiture of two women who were invested with the title of Grand Patrons of the children church.
