pastor_chrisPastor Chris Oyakhilomen, the President of Believers Love World, known as ”Christ Embassy”, has called for more innovative and inspiring leaders to shape peoples’ destinies in Africa.

Oyakhilomen, who made the call during the Church’s new year eve service in Lagos, stressed the need for African nations to tap their human and material resources for the benefit of the populace.

He expressed the view that only good leaders would bring African nations to rub shoulders with other nations of the world in all areas of human endeavours.

”There should be inspiring leadership in all sectors, including education. There should be review of the curriculum in education in the nation.

”There should be new qualitative curriculum that will lead the children to a better life. The current state of our education needs urgent solution.

”Everyone must be involved in this development.

”Children go to school to build a better society, therefore, the education sector needs to be rebuilt,” he said.

The clergy said that many young Africans were doing well in different fields, urging individuals and organisations to invest in young Africans that would take the continent to the next level of development.

”Until you do something about your society, no matter who you are, you will be in danger. You cannot be successful alone without others affected also.

”That is why Christ Embassy Church is involved in different projects in many communities so that many lives can be affected. We are training leaders so that they can help their society,” he said.

Thirteen young men and women from Nigeria and Ghana got the Future Africa Leadership Award by Chris Oyakhilomen Foundation for outstanding leadership in their communities.

A 23-year-old Sharon Ajide won the leadership award which attracted 25,000 dollars (N3.7 million).

Oyakhilomen said that other recipients would get different prizes of money from 5,000 dollars to scholarship, adding that leadership was for service.
