Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has sworn-in a new acting Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Afojulu Raymond Ozoemena, to head the Enugu Judiciary.
The State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mellitus Ezeh, gave a brief introduction of Ozoemena.
His appointment followed his confirmation by the National Judiciary Commission, being the most senior Judge in the State after the retirement of the first female Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Priscillia Emehelu, who retired on Tuesday, September 7, at the age of 65 years.
The Acting Chief Judge thanked Ugwuanyi for the appointment. He promised to carry out his duties to the best of his ability.
He urged members of the bar and the bench to join hands with him in building upon the legacies his predecessor, Hon. Justice Emehelu, left behind.
