Otu appoints Gil, Ogbeche, Obogo as media aides (see other appointments)

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has appointed Mr Nsa Gil, the state Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), and Correspondent of the Nation Newspapers, as his Chief Press Secretary (CPS).

Otu announced this in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh in Calabar on Monday.

He said that the appointment takes immediate effect

The governor had last week announced the appointment of 83 other aides.

In the latest appointments, Otu reassigned his former CPS, Mr Emmanuel Ogbeche, to the post of Special Adviser  on Media Affairs (Abuja).

The governor also announced Mr Linus Obogo as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity.

Other appointments are: Mr Maurice Effiwat, Acting chairman, Cross River Civil Service Commission, Mr Abang Otu, Chief Protocol Officer and Mr Edwin Okon, Chairman, Cross River Internal Revenue Service.

He said that the appointments takes immediate effect

Otu congratulated the appointees and urged them to key into his administration’s development agenda.
