Osun APC threatens to sanction disloyal members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ede-North Local Government Area of Osun State, has threatened to sanction its members involved in anti-party activities during the last presidential and National Assembly elections.
The party issued the threat in Osogbo on Friday in a letter addressed to the leadership of the party in the state.
The letter was jointly signed by Mr Lateef Oyelowo, the chairman of the party in the local government and Mr Sule Alao the leader of the party in the local government.
They alleged that three leaders of the party from the zone led hundreds of party members to another party during the last elections.
According to them, the intervention of some party elders failed to deter the three leaders from such anti-party activity.
“A team led by Mr Najeem Salaam, Speaker of the state Assembly to appeal to the aggrieved members did not stop their move. Another meeting led by Dr Peter Babalola with the aggrieved members did not dissuade them from their intentions despite appeals and several promises made to address their complaints,’’the letter said.
The letter urged the leadership of the APC in the state to take appropriate action against the erring members to serve as deterrent to others and to maintain discipline in the party.
