Osinbajo is Acting President…for five days

President Muhammadu Buhari has begun a short vacation from February 5 to 10, a statement said in Abuja on Friday.
The statement, issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Mr Femi Adesina, said during the period, the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, would perform the functions of the president.
It stated that a formal notice of the president’s vacation had since been dispatched to the president of the Senate and speaker of the House of Representatives as required by the constitution.
“In compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution, President Buhari has dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives,’’ the statement stated.
