Osinbajo, Aregbesola meet Tinubu at APC South-West meeting

Against all odds, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) was in Lagos on Friday to attend a meeting called by South-West elders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for presidential aspirants from the zone.
Because of the friction between him and the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, due to the 2003 race, some of his supporters told him to boycott the partisan parley.
But he disappointed them by attending the meeting held at Lagos House, Marina.
Immediately he saw Tinubu, he shook hands with him and they discussed briefly.

Also at the meeting was Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, who shook hands with Tinubu.
Former governors of Osun and Ogun states, Chief Bisi Akande, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, and Chief Pius Akinyelure, on Tuesday, summoned the meeting “to ensure peace in the South-West”.

Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo) and Gboyega Oyetola (Osun) are also in attendance.

Also at the meeting are Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola (SAN); Minister of Trade and Industry, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; former Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun; National Secretary of APC, Otunba Iyiola Omisore, and others.
The meeting started at 6:45p.m.
