Super Eagles of Nigeria were superb on Thursday as they defeated Gabon 4-1 to reach African World Cup playoffs final.
The match was played at the Moulay Hassan Mohammed Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
Victor Osimhen scored twice against the Gabonese.
The Super Eagles, therefore, qualified for the final of the African playoffs for the 2026 World Cup.
Akor Adams scored the first goal for Nigeria, capitalising on a player’s error to put Nigeria ahead.
Gabon equalised a few minutes before the end of the match, forcing the game into extra time.
Chidera Ejuke scored Nigeria’s second goal and Osimhen extended the advantage, netting twice.
Benjamin Frederick and Calvin Bassey proved too solid for the Gabonese to break Nigeria’s defence.
