Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala, will join the Falcons camp this Friday.
This is as Coach of the team, Edwin Okon assured that the girls will be part of the team to play Mali for the return leg of the AAG qualifier against Mali.
The player has been doing very well for her club.
African Female Footballer of the Year, Oshoala, who opened her goal account when she scored and assisted Wednesday night as her team Liverpool Ladies, won 2-1 against Birmingham Ladies, confirmed her arrival to Super Falcons’ Media Officer, Gracious Akujobi from her base and promised that the girls will not disappoint in picking the AAG ticket.

“Well, all I can say to that is, I will do my best to make sure we qualify for the All Africa Games” she stated.

Oshoala will arrive Super Falcons camp on Friday from her base in the United Kingdom.

She has continued to make huge impression in the Women’s Super League (WSL) in England with an excellent outing against Birmingham Ladies, during which she scored a goal in the 2-1 win.

The first Nigerian to play in the Women’s Super League was captivating in her debut against Sunderland Ladies last week, but was even more appealing with a great goal and assist as the reigning champions, Liverpool Ladies, put behind them the shock loss to Sunderland on the opening day.

The new poster girl of Nigeria football was the Most Valuable Player of the 2014 African Women Championship in Namibia, a title she had easily collected at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada few months earlier.

In Canada, Asisat’s seven goals also won her the Top Scorer’s award, which she narrowly lost to compatriot Desire Oparanozie in Namibia.

“I’m happy to start well for Liverpool Ladies. I am living my dream.”

Oshoala is unavailable for the Super Falcons’ fixture against Mali in the 11th All-Africa Games qualifying series, but will be around for the two-leg contest against the same Malians next month in the kick-off for race to next year’s Olympics.

Meanwhile, FIFA and the organizers have concluded a super tour for the FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy, to take the coveted diadem round 12 cities in Canada as part of promotion for the 7th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals, taking place 6th June – 5th July.

The tour packaged by FIFA sponsor Coca-Cola takes off from Canada’s capital city, Ottawa and will stop over in cities such as Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton and Calgary before stopping in Vancouver, which hosts the final match at the BC Place on July 5.
