A 27-year-old man, Aliyu Khalid, on Monday, begged a Sharia Court l sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna to order his pregnant former wife, Maryam Muhammad, to allow him get his belongings from their former apartment.

Khalid  also prayed the court to attach the court bailiff to accompany him to the house located on  Benue road, Kaduna.

“I do not want to go there alone. I do no want to have any conversation with her that might trigger issues”, he said.

Khalid also prayed to the court to grant his request to pay Mohamed N6,000 monthly for her upkeep.

Mohammed prayed the court to order Khalid to pay N8,000 for  her upkeep because she was  pregnant.

The Judge, Muhammad Adam-Shehu, confirmed the divorce and ordered the complainant to pay N6,000 as upkeep for Mohammed.

Adam-Shehu also ordered the court bailiff to accompany Khalid to get his belongings.
