Ondo crisis: Akeredolu’s wife in alleged N50m scam

*OSOPADEC Board member writes Deputy Governor

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State (H.E Lucky Orimisan Ayédatiwa)
Governor’s Office,
Alagbaka, Akure

ILLEGAL SPONSORING OF FOWOSO SUMMIT WITH #50MILION OF OSOPADEC FUND

I write to inform you about some fraudulent activities going on within the board of Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development COMMISSION (OSOPADEC) which must be addressed with immediate effect.

It was confirmed that the just concluded FOWOSO SUMMIT organised by the wife of the Governor of Ondo State, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu, was illegally sponsored by the Chairman of OSOPADEC, ELDER SAM EREJUWA, with the whopping sum of fifty million naira (N50,000 000). This dastard act was carried out on the detriment of the poor people of the Oil Producing Areas who were denied good amenities of life.
It’s unfortunate and at the same time worrisome that the money which was supposed to have been used for the development of the State is being stolen by some power mongers in a mischievous way. This is not acceptable and must be investigated thoroughly.

I, therefore, urge you to treat this issue with the urgency it deserves while an appropriate action should be taken to address it.

Hon. Akinrotoye Olafusi Kehinde
