Ojo Onaolapo, a bronze medallist in the 2014 Commonwealth Games, on Wednesday, said making the team for the 11th All Africa Games in Congo Brazzaville was his priority.
The Games are scheduled to run from September 4 to September 19.
Onalolapo said during his training session in the knock-up Hall of the National Stadium, Lagos that he was determined to make the list.
He said making the list would not be an easy task because of the calibre of players currently at the National camp currently on trials for the Games.
“My main focus for now is the trials for the Games and I’m doing everything possible to be selected to represent the country.
“I know I have a big task ahead of me because of the quality of foreign and home-based players in camp for the Games. It’s going to be the survival of the fittest because we are all striving to make the final selection of players to represent to attend the Games. No matter what, I will remain focused to achieve my aim,’’ he said.
Onaolapo, who plays for Marcozzi Table Tennis Club in Italy, commended the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation for the camping and trials ahead of the Games.
He urged the federation not to relent in its effort at promoting the sport in the country.
