Olubanjo leads road walk sensitisation, as Lagos Govt introduces grassroots empowerment programme

In a bid to boldly tackle the problem of youth unemployment through empowerment, the Lagos State Agency for Mass Education, on Thursday, embarked on a road walk sensitisation programme in Epe.

The sentization programme was jointly organised by Mrs Frances O. Olubanjo, the Principal of Odoragushi who is also the Coordinating Principal of Alhaji Shakiru Akanni Seriki Vocational training centre. Both the Vocational and Adult Literacy jointly organised the sensitization.

The tuition free Vocational Centres run a 3- 9 months week days training programme from 10am- 2pm in the following trades :

* Catering/ Bread baking.

* Fashion Designing.

* Event Decoration / Bead making.

* Hairdressing .

* Make up / Gele.

* Barbing .

* Leather works .

* Screen Printing.

* Photography.

The Agency is from the office of Special Adviser on Education, Hon. Tokunbo Phillip Wahab, where Mrs Kalesanwo Oluwakemi Yetunde is a Director.

Top officials of the Agency from Alausa State Secretariat who participated in the road walk sensitization included Mrs O.T Oladunjoye, Mrs R.A Onabajo, Mrs A.Otitoju, Mr.O.Folarin, Mrs A.Alonge and Mrs E.O Adesina.

The coordinating Principal of the Vocational and Adults Literacy Centres, Mrs Olubanjo, expressed gratitude to God for the huge success of the programme.

The sensitisation reached various nooks and crannies of Epe and paid a courtesy call on Oloja of Epe land, Oba Animashaun.
