The Olubadan-in-Council, on Wednesday, suspended the Onido of Ido, Chief Tajudeen Agura, following a petition against him.
The council ordered Agura to stop parading himself as the Baale of Ido, pending the completion of investigation into the petition.
Addressing newsmen after a closed door meeting with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola, said the suspension took effect from Wednesday.

“Agura seizes to become the Baale of Onido until the council decides otherwise,” he said.

Ajibola also told newsmen that the council would hold thanksgiving service for the successful installation of Olubadan.

He said that prayers would be held at the Central Mosque, Oja Oba, Ibadan, between 12.00 noon and 2.00p.m on Friday April 8.

He said that Church service would be held on Sunday, April 10 at the Cathedral Church of St. David, Kudeti, Ibadan.

According to Ajibola, the thanksgiving services would offer opportunities for clerics and religious leaders from different denominations to pray for Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria and their leaders.
