Coach Sunday Oliseh is yet to give his approval for the invitation of U-23 stars Oghenekaro Etebo and goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel to the Eagles training camp for CHAN, it has been gathered.
Etebo was top scorer at the U23 AFCON in Senegal with five goals, while Enugu Rangers goalkeeper Daniel also shone at the championship and they have subsequently been recommended for the country’s CHAN build-up on the back of their recent exploits.
However, Oliseh has yet to sanction their call-up, insisting with working the 26 players he has invited for next month’s championship in Rwanda.
“It’s only Oliseh who will decide on the two U23 stars and so far he has not done so,” a top source informed.
Even though he is still in his sick bed in Belgium, Oliseh has constantly kept in touch with the Eagles training camp, dishing out daily training schedules and other relevant instructions.
