Hiddink: Ighalo, a real threat

Chelsea new boss, Guus Hiddink, has admitted Nigerian international, Odion Ighalo, and fellow Watford striker, Troy Deeney, will be threats to his team when they clash in an EPL game on Boxing Day.
The Dutch tactician also said he has a lot of respect for Watford’s achievements in the Premier League so far.
Watford go into the game on the back of four consecutive top-flight victories.

“I have a lot of respect for Watford. They are very disciplined and have two very strong strikers in (Odion) Ighalo and (Troy) Deeney,” said Hiddink, who is on a second spell at ‘The Blues’.

“The strikers are very dangerous and have shown that frequently this season.

“I have lots of respect for what they have done but hopefully things can go positively for us. We need a sequence of positive results.”

Hiddink added: “Teams like Leicester, Crystal Palace and Watford are near the top of the league.

“That means all the teams can kill each other. You have seen the games for the last six months, any team can beat any other.”

Watford are seventh on the EPL table, 10 points ahead of reigning champions Chelsea, with Ighalo their leading scorer with 12 goals.
