Acclaimed human rights lawyer and Chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ogun State, Hon. Kayode Oladele, has extolled the virtues and congratulated HRM, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR, Asade Agunloye IV, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland on his appointment and inauguration by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON as Chairman of Ogun State Council of Obas.
In a statement, Oladele applauds Oba Olugbenle’s endowed leadership qualities and disposition which have enabled him to offer progressive and selfless leadership to his subjects, Yewa traditional rulers and attract unprecedented developments to his domain over the years. He says, “There is no doubting the fact that the emergence of Oba Olugbenle over a decade ago as the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland has brought unprecedented development, not only to Ilaro but the whole of Yewaland. This highly spiritual and Godly monarch is imbued with enormous wisdom and intelligence, courage and humility with which he has piloted the affairs of his immediate subjects and the entire Yewa people over the years. His sterling qualities, which stand him out, have also earned him significant respect from far and near.”
The human rights activist describes Olugbenle’s new appointment as “an eloquent testimony and affirmation of his qualities as a progressive monarch, who enjoys and sustains good relations with all the traditional rulers in the country. Though the task ahead may be daunting but I know Kabiyesi is well equipped to face the challenges ahead. He is so energetic, always willing and prepared to explore the uniqueness of our traditional values to promote unity and cohesion within his domain, Ogun State and beyond.”
Oladele prays for God’s guidance and wisdom for Oba Olugbenle to deliver on his new mandate, saying, “As we rejoice and thank God Almighty for considering Your Majesty worthy of this new assignment, I equally pray for God’s guidance, wisdom and courage for you, Kabiyesi to, at this time, be able to bring your wealth of experience to bear in navigating the Ogun State traditional institution and drive peace, unity and development across the state.”
