There is tension in Agodo, Ewekoro Local Government of Ogun State, following the killing of the traditional ruler, Oba Ayinde Odetola, and four of his aides.
In a gruesome manner, after the killing, their bodies were burnt.
The gory incident happened around 11:10 am on Monday.
One of the leaders in the village traced the brutal killing to a chieftaincy crisis in the agrarian community.
He said Oba Odetola’s younger brother was also killed a few months ago.
The late monarch hailed from the Ake Dynasty.
It was alleged that the Owu people were against his installation.
Policemen have been drafted to the community to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
