Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has thrown his political weight behind the governorship ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Saturday’s election, Dapo Abiodun.
The endorsement was made on Thursday at Daniel’s Asoludero Court, Sagamu, Ogun State.

Daniel, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, said in the interest of the 43-year-old state, he would support Abiodun and directed his supporters to vote for the APC candidate.
At the event were Daniel’s deputy between 2003 and 2011, Alhaja Salmot Badru, and others.

Initially, Daniel was supporting the factional governorship candidate of PDP, Ladi Adebutu, but the Supreme Court ruled that Buruji Kashamu “is the authentic PDP candidate known to law”.
