Odemwingie fulfils goal pledge to daughter

Peter Odemwingie no doubt is a father who keeps his promises.
The former West Bromwich Albion striker said he would give his daughter a goal before retiring from football, and he fulfilled that on his debut for Madura United.
The 35-year-old, who spent several years in the English league, joined the Indonesian topflight side and became an instant hit on first appearance.
With his team leading 1-0 against Bali United Busam, he came off the bench to score the second goal from the penalty spot in the 74th minute to hand them a 2-0 victory.
And the former Nigeria international took to social media to establish that he is a man of his word.
”Daddy promised his little princess a goal before he retires from football and he did it in his first game for Madura United FC,” Odewingie tweeted.
The tweet is also a strong hint that the Indonesian outfit could be his last before calling time on his football career.
Madura United are second on the log with three points, and they travel to Andi Mattalata Stadium to face Herry Kiswanto’s Persela Lamongan on April 21.
