Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has commended the Lady Mechanic Initiative for the resourcefulness put in the refurbishment of the abandoned Edo Line Complex into a modern workshop.
The governor gave the commendation when he visited the workshop  accompanied by his deputy, Hon. Philip Shaibu, and other government officials.
The governor, who expressed satisfaction with the level of work done in the place in less than two months, said his administration would not relent in channeling into profitable partnership with individuals who are ready to develop the state.

He said going by the level of professionalism deployed in the remodelling of the workshop, vehicles could be assembled in the state.
“I have always believed in the Lady Mechanic Initiative, that was why I handed over the place to them to manage. I am impressed with the transformation, she did the renovation work with her profits and this is the result when you are passionate about something” the governor said.

Some of the departments in the workshop include, Lubrication, Vulcanising, Wheel Balancing Augment and Mechanic Upholstery department.
In her remark, founder of the lady mechanic Initiative Mrs Sandra Aguebor, thanked the governor for believing in her and the opportunity to refurbish government vehicles.

Mrs Aguebor explained  that she was passionate about what she does and impacting her skills in young ones who were ready to be trained.

She said over 100 vehicles have been rebranded in the workshop with over 150 trainees.
