A new chalet constructed by Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries for its mountain in Ootunja – Ekiti, Ekiti State was commissioned at the weekend by the Olootunja of Ootunja, His Royal Majesty,Oba Joseph Adelola Fagbamila in Ekiti – State.

OBA Fagbamila, who led a powerful delegation of the town comprising High Chief Asaba, High Chief Femi Ogungbe, High Chief Stephen Adewumi and Prince Bayo Owoeye to the ceremony thanked the Lord for the progress recorded at the mountain in the last nine years within which the ministry constructed the mountain auditorium, the chalet and the School of Prophetic Ministry.

Oba Fagbamila seized the opportunity to inform the congregational members of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries to emulate their head Pastor by coming to Ootunja to buy land and build houses either for residential purposes or establishment of schools or industry.

He also implored Ootunja sons and daughters to come home and develop their new town.

In his new year message to the nation during the annual new year mountain prayer and fasting programme which took place from 2nd to 4th January,2025, the head Pastor of the church, A/Professor Tayo Popoola, urged Nigerians to urgently return to God and walk with Him in the new year.

Prophet Popoola said God spoke to him in a vision that the degree of sins in Nigeria today was higher than that of the period of King Ahab in Israel.

Popoola reminded Nigerians about the consequences of sinful lifestyle in Israel during the reign of King Ahab which included famine and absence of rainfall for about three and a half years.

He emphatically stated that urgent steps must be taken by all religious leaders in the country to return Nigerians to God through repentance adding that failure to do so might lead to irregular and insufficient rainfall and increase in food prices.

He assured that God’s hand that has been on the nation would be there for us in the new year but urged Nigerians to shun sinful lifestyle.

He urged heads of families in the country to emulate Joshua who publicly declared his allegiance to God ( Jos 24: 14 -15) as well as Job who assumed the role of pastor for his family by praying and interceding for his children ( Job 1:1-4).

His words “the challenges at hand should be taken up by the heads of churches and families. All parents have been tasked by God to train their children in the way of the Lord. All parents should therefore be reminded that they will render account to God on this responsibility one day”.

Popoola similarly prayed that God should direct the affairs of our leaders at various levels in the country.

A special section of the programme was dedicated to praying and blessing all the people that assisted the ministry in putting all the available structures of the mountain in place.

A delegation of Prophet Popoola’s classmates at Obalatan Commercial Grammar school, llupeju – Ekiti led by the President of the set, elder Lawrence Adesua and his wife, Prince Femi Oniyelu and Mr. Abiodun Arigbede, also attended the occasion.
