Oba Fagbamila clocks 88

It was celebration and praises galore as the Olotunja of Ootunja-Ekiti in Ikole Local Government area of Ekiti State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Adekola Fagbamila 11, clocks 88 years.

Many Ootunja sons and daughters at home and in diaspora led by all the chiefs were on hand to rejoice and celebrate with the monarch whose reign has been very peaceful, progressive and developmental in nature .

In a statement by the Publicity Secretary of Ootunja Sons and Daughters Association (OSDA), Dr. Tayo Popoola, he stated that the Oba deserved to be celebrated considering what God has done for the town during his reign.

Dr.Popoola described Oba Fagbamila as a monarch whose love for his people is beyond description.

Said he : “Kabiyesi is very loving and caring. He is a prayerful monarch who has brought many monarchs in Egbe Oba land closer to God.”

The President of Ootunja Sons and Daughters Association, Professor
Peter Adeniyi OON, congratulated Oba Fagbamila on the occasion.

Professor Adeniyi, a former Vice- Chancellor of Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure, Ondo State as well as former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of University of Ado-Ekiti, prayed God to grant him long life as well as supporting him in the implementation of the new Ootunja Development programme.
