NSF: Bayelsa tops medals table

Three days into the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abeokuta, Bayelsa is leading the medals table with 12 gold, six silver and three bronze medals.

The official medals’ table released by the technical team of the NSF tagged ‘Gateway Games 2024’ indicated that Osun is second with six gold medals.

The table also showed that Rivers State is third with five gold, three silver and one bronze medal.

Lagos State is occupying the fourth position with four gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals, followed by Delta State with four gold, four silver and bronze medals.

The table further showed that a total of 152 medals have so far been won by various states participating in the festival.

The NSF is a biennial multi-sport event organised by the Federal Government.

It brings together athletes from all 36 states and the FCT to compete in various sports, promoting national unity, sportsmanship and excellence across Nigeria.

Osun is second with six gold medals.
Rivers is third with five gold, three silver and one bronze medal.
Lagos is occupying the fourth position with four gold,
