Trading activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange  (NSE) reopened for the week on Monday still on a positive trend with major blue chips recording price growth.
Nestlé recorded the highest price appreciation to lead the gainers’ chart, growing by N25.01 to close at N750 per share.
It was trailed by 7UP which chalked up N9. 20 to close at N103.89, while Nigerian Breweries garnered N2.70 to close at N130 per share.
Unilever rose by N1 to close at N34 and Okomu Oil increased by 75k to close at N47.80 per share.
Consequently, the market capitalisation which opened at N9.069 trillion,  inched N63 billion  or 0.69 per cent to close at N9.132 trillion.
In the same vein, the All-Share Index increased by 182.70 points or 0.69 per cent to close at 26,418.33.
Conversely, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated recorded the highest loss for the day, declining by 11k to close at N7.89 per share.
Dangote Flour Mills came second with a loss of 10k to close at N4.20 and Champion Breweries also lost 10k  to close at N2.04 per share.
CCNN was down by 9k to close at N4.51, while Africa Prudential Registrar  also declined by 9k to close at N2.60 per share.
However, the volume of shares traded closed lower with an exchange of 267.64 million shares valued at N3.26 billion  transacted in 3,907 deals.
This was in contrast with a turnover of 442.83 million shares worth N2.96 billion achieved in 4,220 deals on Friday.
A breakdown of the activity chart indicated that Oando was the toast of investors, accounting for 47.53 million shares valued at N374.65 million.
Zenith International Bank followed 30.37 million shares worth N489.17 million and Guaranty Trust Bank traded 27.27 million shares valued at N737.18 million.
Diamond Bank sold 19.90 million shares worth N17.05 million, while FBNHoldings exchanged 17.63 million shares valued at N62.44 million.
