NSE market capitalisation grows by N36bn

The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday appreciated by N36 billion due to price gains.
The market capitalisation rose by 0.33 per cent to close at N10.336 trillion against N10.300 trillion achieved on Wednesday.
Also, the All-Share Index (ASI) advanced by 104.63 basis points or 0.33 per cent to close at 30,973.80 from 30,869.17 posted on Wednesday.
GT Bank led the gainers’ table, appreciating by 77k to close at N25 per share.
ETI came second with a gain of 69k to close at N18.99, while Dangote Cement appreciated by 45k to close at N154 per share.
FBN Holdings improved by 42k to close at N8.93, while Zenith Bank gained 33k to close at N21 per share.
Conversely, Guinness topped the losers’ chart, dropping by N1.97 to close at N126.61 per share.
Unilever trailed with a loss of 81k to close at N34.05, while Betaglass lost 73k to close at N25 per share.
Union Dicon and Stanbic IBTC dropped by 65k each to close at N12.46 and N26 per share respectively.
Investors staked N4.36 billion on 333.44 million shares transacted in 4,252 deals against 518.88 million shares worth N3.85 billion traded in 5,469 deals on Wednesday.
Oando emerged the most traded stock, accounting for 86.92 million shares worth N1.55 billion.
FBN Holdings followed with 33.55 million shares valued N306.92 million, while UBA traded 28.05 million shares worth N117.39 million.
GTBank accounted for 27.90 million shares worth N693.91 million, while Zenith traded 26.46 million shares valued N549.01 million.
